    The Frances R. Schnadig Memorial Mental Health Education Series includes clinical discussion of works of fiction and non-fiction, focusing on relationships, treatment, and ethical issues. Reading the books is recommended, but not required, cases will be presented. The book for this discussion is "Where the Crawdad's Sing", by Delia Owens. 2 CEU's for Social Workers and Counselors.     Our annual benefit honors local mental health champions AND raises vital dollars for MHA-NS programs structured specifically to help young people improve their wellbeing.  Here is a chance for you to makea real difference in your community.

    At the  benefit we will be honoring:

    Patrick Corrigan,PsyD, Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology- selected for his pioneering research on stigma and his role in creating the Honest, Open, Proud series of anti-stigma programs. Dr Corrigan will receive the Founders Award.

    Marvin Lindsey, MSW,CADC, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Behavioral Health Care Association of Illinois for his tireless advocacy to expand access to mental health and substance use services for all Illinois residents, particularly our youth. Mr. Lindsey will receive the Lorraine H. Morton Youth Impact Award.

    Family Focus for its programs designed to support children of all ages and strengthen families in 7 area communities. Family Focus will receive the Service Award for supporting family and youth mental health.
